Bill Cesanek, AICP, is a Vice President and practice leader for environmental and infrastructure planning at CDM Smith. With more than 30 years of experience, he works to advance interdisciplinary approaches to urban, infrastructure, and water planning. Bill works closely with major cities on green infrastructure and water resource initiatives, including Philadelphia, and leads climate resiliency/hazard mitigation projects. He chaired the American Planning Association’s Water Task Force from 2014 to 2017, and currently co-leads APA’s Water and Planning Network. Bill co-authored the PAS report “Planners and Water” (August 2017). He is also an adjunct professor in the Bloustein Graduate School of Planning at Rutgers University, teaching sustainable infrastructure planning.
