J. Xin Liao, Pharm.D. (they/them) is a Post-Doctorate Fellow in Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy and Antimicrobial Stewardship at the Providence Veterans Affairs Health Care System and the University of Rhode Island. Dr. Liao obtained their Pharm.D. and Certificate in Global Health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017. Prior to their fellowship, Dr. Liao was the Antibiotic Resistance Coordinator at the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, supporting and expanding state and regional Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity in the area of Healthcare Associated Infections and Antibiotic Resistance, and completed their post-graduate year one pharmacy practice residency at the New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System. Their professional interests include clinical infectious diseases, infectious diseases epidemiology, antimicrobial stewardship, and health equity.
