Dr. Yasser Albogami completed his pharmacy training in 2012 from King Saud University (KSU), Saudi Arabia. In 2015, Dr. Albogami completed his master's program in public health with a specialization in epidemiology and biostatistics as well as a graduate certificate program in clinical research design and management at the University of Southern California. In the same year, he was accepted into the Ph.D. program in the Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida. In 2020, Dr. Albogami received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in pharmaceutical sciences with a specialization in pharmacoepidemiology from the University of Florida.
During his doctoral training, Dr. Albogami was invited by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an expert consultant for one of their initiatives related to medication errors. He also has received several scholarships and awards from several entities, including the Epidemiology and Population Health Summer Institute at Columbia University, the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology, and the Graduate Student Council and the College of Pharmacy of the University of Florida. He has authored and co-authored a number of peer-reviewed publications and has presented his research at national and international scientific conferences.
Dr. Albogami is currently serving as a faculty member at KSU, and his research centers on using real-world data with advanced epidemiological methods to evaluate drug safety and effectiveness, as well as assessing the impact of regulatory policy interventions within the causal inference framework.
