Dr. Lisa Schoenbrodt Ed.D., CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist who is certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed by the Maryland Board of Examiners. She is also a Distinguished Scholar and Fellow of the National Academies of Practice. Dr. Schoenbrodt has over 30 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist providing in-depth assessment and individualized treatment with school-age children and adolescents who have language deficits as a result of language and learning disabilities, autism, intellectual impairment, and traumatic brain injury. Dr. Schoenbrodt, along with her colleague, Dr. Leah Katherine Saal, currently have three research and training grants through the Horizon Foundation, Maryland Department of Disabilities, and the Maryland Disabilities Council to provide training for Law Enforcement and First Responders on effective ways to communicate with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in crisis situations.
