Presentation Details: This course focuses on resilience factors that have scientific and spiritual foundations. It works to apply these factors to individual growth, and then to team dynamics, showing how capacity for resilience can be developed allowing people to thrive and teams to achieve mission goals through the unexpected challenges of ever-changing circumstances.

Objectives: Definitions: Resilience Science, background and reasoning for the 10 factors Presentation of each of the Ten Factors (developed from "Resilience: The science of mastering life's greatest challenges; by Steven Southwick & Dennis Charney). Present Self-evaluation: Assess individual and team strengths and weaknesses based on ten factors Present Brainstorming questions: How do I (as a leader or team member) build self resilience? How do I encourage others to build resilience based on these ten factors?
Open Live Session- Scenarios- (developed from instructors experience as law enforcement, first responder, & international humanitarian aid chaplains) Discussion/ Q &A What was discovered during self and team assessment? What tools or resources can be shared for others benefit? What gaps were discovered? How will any newly learned information be applied in the future?
Upon completion, participants will be able to
Identify and define ten research backed resilience factors.
Conduct self-evaluation to assess individual capacity based on resilience factors.
Demonstrate specific tools to build personal resilience capacity.
