Aric A. Prather, PhD is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco and Director of the UCSF Behavioral Sleep Medicine Research Program. Dr. Prather's research focuses on the causes and consequences of insufficient sleep, with particular interest in how sleep affects the immune system including inflammatory processes. In addition to Dr. Prather's research program, he is also a licensed clinical psychologist who treats patients with sleep disorders.
