Bob Kerner has a Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Medical Science, is a Paramedic Instructor/Coordinator, has AHA and NAEMT Instructor certifications, is a Certified Flight Paramedic, and, most importantly, has 36 years on the inner-city streets as an EMS Paramedic. Bob started as an EMT doing 911 in 1985 while in college in Buffalo, NY. After being certified as a Paramedic and graduating in 1988, he moved home to Long Island where he started with NYC-EMS/FDNY stationed in Brooklyn and was concurrently a volunteer fire fighter/ heavy rescue Captain/ Paramedic for his hometown of Uniondale, NY. Bob moved his family to Tennessee in 2000 and is currently working fire-based EMS in middle Tennessee. Bob is also a pilot and flight medic for a fixed wing air ambulance service.
