April Wisdom, MPH, PHD, is a health scientist in the Division of Overdose Prevention within the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Prior to joining the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, April worked within health promotion for the United States Navy and the United States Air Force. Her work primarily focuses on the intersections of substance use disorder and adverse childhood experiences. She has supported implementation of programs that leverage the relationships between public health and public safety and served as a subject matter expert in the development of the training presented at this conference. April's dedication to the PH profession has spanned decades.
