Elyna Grapstein is a third-year MLA candidate at the University of Georgia. She is broadly interested in landscape connectivity, winning the battle against invasive annual grasses, and joining scientific fluency with design work to protect the natural world. Her thesis research pertains to the karstic geohydrology of southwestern Georgia. She is currently working to develop a design methodology that is specific to aquifer protection in carbonate limestone systems.
