De Nichols produces interactive experiences, digital media, public art, and social initiatives that mobilize creative changemakers to address injustices within the built environment. She currently serves as Senior Product Inclusion Researcher at YouTube and is the former Principal of Design and Social Practice at Civic Creatives in St. Louis. She co-organizes the national Design As Protest initiative and is a 2020 Loeb Fellow of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and Transnational Fellow with Monument Lab. She is the author of Candlewick and Bonnier UK's 2021 book, Art of Protest: Creating, Discovering, and Activating Art for Your Revolution.
