Urban Planner
New York City Council
Andrew Lassiter is an urban planner with the New York City Council, where he works to facilitate productive conversations about housing, transportation, and equity among the city's legislators, agencies, and the public. With a background in geography and social work, he's most interested in cross-disciplinary projects, and his work has often lived at intersections of urban design, policy, and social equity - such as an innovative bottom-up citizen-led rezoning to produce affordable housing. Andrew is a graduate of Columbia's GSAPP; a recent Institute for Public Architecture Fellow; and a longtime nonprofit leader with the social justice organization The DREAM Program.
