This workshop will help the participants see the value of educating families, communities and criminal justice professionals about the stages of sexual grooming by the offender. The importance of knowing these stages will be shared through research and through the first-person account of one of the presenters. She will share her story of abuse at age nine and learning ten years later that the behavior of the offender was sexual grooming and that it was not her fault.
