Therapists who specialize in trauma at an advocacy center often find themselves filling multiple roles within a family’s healing process, i.e., clinician, advocate, court accompaniment, educator, and witness during trial, etc. This presentation will explore topics related to the unique challenges and privileges that accompany the job description of being a trauma therapist within a MDT model. Attendees will learn ways to navigate the following dynamics in order to provide families with the highest level of care: evidenced based practices, court, MDT communication, and cultural considerations. This workshop will only be recorded and available On-Demand from August 9, 2021 until December 17, 2021.
