In this workshop the presenter will discuss the concept of grooming behaviors engaged in by child molesters. He will reference his own research as well as other research in the field. The presentations uses video clips of offenders speaking about their offenses and their thoughts on grooming, as well as victims who speak candidly about how grooming impacted them. Also addressed are ways in which grooming can complicate a case for law enforcement, as well as prosecutors. The presenter has been retained as an expert in grooming in cases across the nation in order to help juries and judges deal with some of the more "counter-intuitive" aspects of victim response to grooming and abuse. This workshop will only be recorded and available On-Demand from August 9, 2021 until December 17, 2021.
