This workshop is designed to assist prosecutors and investigators who are tackling human trafficking cases, from initial investigation to post‐conviction. A team approach between prosecutors, law enforcement, and victim advocates fully allows for simultaneous goals of rescuing victims and prosecuting their offenders. This presentation will help prosecutors work with law enforcement to investigate cases involving trafficking, and to gather the evidence necessary to make a successful case. We will discuss charging decisions, trial preparation, accomplice testimony, defense strategies, and witness preparation.
