This workshop will examine effective ways to both prepare and execute an effective cross-examination of the defense expert at trial. While this workshop will focus on child physical abuse cases, including homicide, the principles are applicable to all types of expert cross-examination. Participants will learn how to research and prepare for cross-examination, how to structure the cross-examination, how to utilize the evidence in the trial, and the research in the field to effectively discredit their testimony. This workshop will only be recorded and available On-Demand from August 9, 2021 until December 17, 2021.
Upon completion, participants will understand how to properly prepare before trial to have an effective cross-examination of the defense expert in the courtroom

Upon completion, participants will learn techniques for addressing defense theories from selected clips from actual trials
Upon completion, participants will understand how to bring the trial home to the jury and successfully argue the State's position in these complex medical cases
