In this workshop, the presenter who is a child sexual abuse survivor, shares her experience of sexual abuse from the beginning of the grooming process to disclosure and navigating the legal process to finding healing and hope. Attendees will learn how each person who interacts with a victim of childhood sexual abuse has the opportunity to positively influence the healing process, promoting post-traumatic growth. This session will explore actions that are most beneficial for the survivor and have both immediate and long-term impacts. This workshop will only be recorded and available On-Demand from August 9, 2021 until December 17, 2021.
Identify how to positively influence the healing process after disclosures of childhood sexual abuse, therefore, promoting post-traumatic growth
Assess the tactics used by perpetrators to groom and abuse children with an emphasis on how those interactions impact the victim both in the immediate aftermath of a disclosure and long-term
