Yesenia Altamirano serves as one of the Assistant Directors of Support Services at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) and has worked there for over six years. In her role, she helps provide oversight to the family advocate team and assisting with safety screenings for families, navigating on call, and day of the forensic interview. Yesenia carries a small caseload and provides initial screenings to help determine the appropriate treatment plan for clients and their non-offending family members and provides education around trauma symptoms. She assists with creating and implementing processes and policies for the family advocate team and works closely with other departments to best serve DCAC clients. Yesenia received her BS degree in Sociology from the University of North Texas in 2014.
