Leemie Kahng-Sofer is the Missing Children Division (MCD) Case Management Director, overseeing all of MCD's case management responsibilities. She is responsible for major MCD initiatives such as development of its enterprise application and specialty topics related to children missing from care, child sex trafficking, and children with autism. Prior to joining NCMEC, Leemie was a prosecutor with the Manhattan District Attorney's Office in New York City where she was appointed Deputy Director of Legal Staff Training and then Deputy Chief of the Sex Crimes Prosecution Unit. Leemie authored two chapters of a judicial bench book for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania covering Pennsylvania criminal statutes designed to protect children and the general public from sexual offenders.
