Julie Luzarraga is the founder and executive director of Omaha Integrative Care (OIC), Nebraska’s first integrative healthcare center. OIC provides complementary therapies with traditional medicine in a holistic approach guided by individuals’ unique physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and environmental circumstances. With over 20 years of experience as a licensed therapist and a passion for integrative medicine, Julie has guided the OIC team in providing a spectrum of care through an integrative lens since 2011. Julie’s expertise includes trauma-skilled care, psychodynamics, and mindfulness-based stress- reduction techniques in her work with individuals, groups and organizations. She provides mental health therapy as well as leadership coaching. In addition to extensive training in trauma-informed practices and mind/body medicine, Julie has trained in yoga, reiki, and mindfulness-based therapies. She is particularly passionate about working with organizational leaders on developing mindfulness and stress reduction practices to enhance creativity, productivity and living and working to one’s full potential. Julie received her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Boston College, as well as her Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, the highest distinction bestowed on clinical social workers. She trained and worked at Child Guidance Centers in Boston, Massachusetts, and Connecticut; and trained in the Yale Child Study Center’s Child Development Community Policing Program. Julie is a graduate of the Leadership in Integrative Healthcare program at Duke University.
