Criminal Intelligence Analyst

Carly Stephens is a Criminal Intelligence Analyst within the Texas Department of Public Safety’s (TXDPS) Organized Crime Intelligence Unit. She focuses on the threat of human trafficking throughout the state of Texas, conducting research and analysis to provide case support as well as intelligence collection. Carly joined the TXDPS in 2015 as an Investigative Support Specialist with the Regulatory Service Division providing case support in regulatory crimes including pharmaceutical fraud. She later transferred to the Intelligence and Counterterrorism Division as an analyst in 2016. Carly graduated with her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Rochester Institute of Technology, with a thesis focusing on assessing justice system response in combating human trafficking.
