Digital Futures Initiative, DFi
Jay Martin is a retired deputy sheriff with 18 years of service, a current public-school teacher and Director of Training and Curriculum with the non-profit Digital Futures Initiative (DFi). In 2009, he was the D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year in Colorado, and was tasked by the Sheriff of Douglas County to aid in creating a program beyond substance abuse to include digital technology. The program received national recognition in 2012 and 2017. Then in 2017 DFi launched with hundreds of instructors in all 50 states adopting DFi’s curriculum and teaching it within their communities. Jay has spoken at many national conferences and written curriculum for national programs on social media and now leads the development and instruction for DFi's evidence-based strategy programs.
