Rami Badawy is a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section where he prosecutes international violent crime including sexual assault and international human rights abuses including matters involving Female Genital Mutilation. Previously he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Districts of the Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands where he prosecuted sex trafficking and child exploitation cases. Rami also worked as a Senior Attorney with the National District Attorneys Association, National Center for the Prosecution of Child Abuse and as the Deputy Chief of the Sex Offense Division of the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office. Rami began his career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office in Syracuse, New York.
