Gilbert Police Department
Carrie Soderman has worked with the Gilbert Police Department in Arizona since 2005. She has worked patrol, as a School Resource Officer, in the Criminal Investigations Division, and most recently in Recruiting and Hiring. She worked in the Special Victims Unit for five years where her primary responsibilities included the investigation of sexual assaults, child sex crimes, child abuse and neglect, Internet crimes against children, missing persons, sex trafficking, cold cases and elder abuse. She instructs sex crimes courses and child crimes courses at the Phoenix Regional Police Academy, as well as trainings for pre-academy and post-academy officers. Carrie volunteers her time presenting to the GPD Citizen’s Academy and Juvenile Diversion Program participants. She has previously presented at the 2019 AZWIN Conference in Tucson, Arizona.
