ASN student members can benefit from career planning no matter where they are in their timeline for graduation. Given the current climate, developing a clear strategy to navigate the job market and identifying available resources for support throughout the job search is critical for trainees. The summer months are the perfect time for career preparation as students often have more flexibility to focus on their long-term goals outside of classes and research. The objective of this seminar is to present students with practical information to ensure a smooth transition into post-graduate life. Professionals with diverse backgrounds will explain what aspects to look for in first post-graduate jobs, tips for networking, as well as important steps for landing a job and moving toward a fulfilling and well-compensated career. By providing an introduction to job hunt training, we aim to help students be more successful in their career search.
