2021 began with a new administration in the White House, a new majority party in Congress, and a continuing global pandemic. Despite these changes — or perhaps because of them — health care legislation and regulation continue to rapidly evolve. It is essential for managed care professionals to stay abreast of legislative and regulatory activity to prepare for the potential impact on their practice.
Presented by AMCP’s Policy and Government Relations team, this must-attend session will feature the latest federal and state legislative and regulatory actions of interest to managed care and specialty pharmacy professionals. Session presenters will highlight AMCP’s 2021 government relations priority issues, as they share the latest legislative developments by Congress, recent regulations from federal agencies under the Biden administration, and pertinent legislative and regulatory updates within key state governments. Topics include accessibility and affordability of medications and therapies, value-based pharmacy care strategies, updates on Medicaid and Medicare Parts B and D, and policy developments on the COVID-19 pandemic.
