Research and Student Success Librarian
Kacy Lovelace is the Assistant Professor/Research and Student Success Librarian at Marshall University, in Huntington, WV. She has held this position since March 2019. Kacy received her MLIS from Kent State University in 2015, her MA in English Literature from Marshall University in 2013, and her BA in Creative Writing from Ohio University in 2011. Kacy is interested in assessment and gamifying information literacy instruction (ask her about her collaborative online escape rooms). She is also very passionate about incorporating yoga, meditation, and mindfulness in academic libraries (for faculty, staff, and students); to achieve this, she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training and began teaching yoga classes online during MU Libraries Library Destress Weeks. She hopes to offer in-person opportunities this fall.
