Christina H. Gola is the Director of Human Resources & Organizational Development at the University of Houston Libraries where she leads organizational effectiveness, human resources, employee development, recruitment and onboarding with a focus on building equity and inclusion into the organization.
Christina’s professional interests include serving as a leader and mentor within state and national associations, including the Texas Library Association and the American Library Association. She was honored to be the 2020-2021 President of TLA. She was also a Fellow in the 2018-2019 Association of Research Libraries Leadership Fellows Program.
She has published and presented on student learning and assessment, leadership in libraries, onboarding, and emotional intelligence. As President of TLA, she serves as an advocate for policies and practices that advance the work of all types of libraries in Texas and the U.S.
