Joseph Winberry is a Ph.D. student at the University of Tennessee’s College of Communication and Information. His research interests in community informatics, information practices, and social justice explores how people use information and technology to produce social change. Winberry’s scholarship has been published in The International Journal of Information, Diversity, and Inclusion, The Journal of Documentation, The Journal of Librarianship and Information Science, and The Library Quarterly among other venues. He has received funding and awards from the Association for Library and Information Science Education, the American Library Association’s Social Responsibility Roundtable, and the Association for Information Science and Technology.
