Correctional Services Librarian
New York Public Library
Emily Jacobson is the Supervising Correctional Services Librarian at The New York Public Library, where she provides library services to people on Rikers Island. In 2016, she helped create the first permanent library space on Rikers at the Rose M. Singer Center. She also coordinates reference correspondence with people who are incarcerated across the country. In the future, she'd like to collaborate with other library systems who do similar reference work.
