NIGHT FALLS: FEAR, HORROR, AND THE POWER OF TRANSFORMATION
Wednesday, June 23, 2021

Fear and horror hold immeasurable power in our lives. It can push us forward or pull us backward. It can move us or it can paralyze us. Horror, across its numerous subgenres, forces us to think: contemplate our lives past, present, and future, forces us to examine our mistakes (real or imagined), and pushes us, at times, into a crisis of the soul. Fear and horror have the power of transformation. As agents of transformation in the lives of both children and adults, we invite librarians to this special panel.
Join The Autumnal creative team of Daniel Kraus (writer) and Chris Shehan (artist), the I Walk With Monsters creative team of Paul Cornell (writer) and Sally Cantirino (artist), and the Hollow Heart creative team of Paul Allor (writer) and Paul Tucker (artist) as they talk with Vault’s Editor-in-Chief, Adrian Wassel, as they talk about the transformational power of horror in graphic novels (their own titles and in general) – and why it’s a key to unlocking potential in us all.
