School Counselor Morton High School Hammond, Indiana
Quite often, when working with non-White populations we think of a recipe cookbook on how to most effectively provide services without taking a deep dive on our own identity(s). In this interactive facilitated discussion participants will have an opportunity to discuss their own set of identities, unconscious biases and discuss potential ways it can impact others. Come and gain a greater level of self-awareness.
Upon Completion, participants will be able to list a number of their biases.
Upon Completion, participants will be able to understand the diversity of experiences of customers/patrons and how their actions can effect them.
Upon Completion, participants will be able to list potential problematic behaviors they exhibit so they can work on avoiding them in the future.
