Get strategies for redesigning your school library space on a budget. The focus will center around creating a welcoming environment for students of any age level. Jennifer Miller, a middle school Library Media Specialist, will share strategies to look at the needs of your space and redesign your library. This session will first focus on the planning process for your space and then how to meet these changes under budget constraints. Attendees will not only learn ideas but will be given the opportunity to look at their space with fresh eyes. Attendees will walk inspired and with a clear plan! Jennifer will share ways to incorporate Makerspaces, collaborative areas, displays that grab attention, and how to use color. Ideas will focus on free or upcycled items that can change your space. Every great redesign begins with a plan and focus on library needs. The focus will remain on what you want to accomplish in your space. With clear examples and discussion, attendees will become inspired!
