The PAX polyaxial locking system is a comprehensive anatomical bone plating set consisting of 1.5, 2.0, 2.4, 2.7 and 3.5mm titanium plates with polyaxial locking screws. The novel locking conical screw head cuts threads in the plate during insertion, reliable for repeated insertions. They can be inserted at angles of +/- 10° to avoid joint spaces, anatomic structures and ancillary implants, minimizing the reliance on less reliable unicortical fixation. This locking system does not require bone/plate interface compression minimizing damage to the blood supply and periosteum, enhancing healing.
