Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer
Musical Health Technologies co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer, Andy Tubman is a board-certified music therapist with over 20 years of experience developing innovative techniques that help clients achieve their therapeutic goals. A graduate of the Temple University Music Therapy department, Andy’s experience includes working with children, adults and seniors in a variety of settings, including in-patient care.
In 2005 Andy founded Integrative Music Therapy Services (IMTS), which provides music therapists for health care facilities, drug and alcohol recovery centers, state-funded regional centers, and individual clients throughout Southern California. IMTS provides therapists to work for a variety of client populations in group and individualized settings. Their client populations includes children and youth with developmental delays as well as teens and adults with drug and alcohol disorders. In 2010, Andy’s successful work with a young client inspired testimonies from two prominent Los Angeles doctors (a neurologist and a pulmonologist). These testimonials helped a California court recognize that music therapy is a medical necessity both in that and in other cases. Andy is also the co-founder of Musical Health Technologies, creator of SingFit PRIME, a robust musical, cognitive stimulation program designed for senior living communities. Andy is a frequent speaker on the intersection of music and health at conferences that have included AgeTech West, LeadingAge, Senior Living 100 and the Alzheimer's Association of Southern California.
