Dr. Tevald is an associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Arcadia University, where he teaches content related to the management of individuals with cardiovascular and pulmonary dysfunction. Prior to joining Arcadia, he was on faculty at the University of Toledo.
Dr. Tevald’s clinical experience is primarily in acute care, and his research focuses on the alterations in muscle that accompany aging and the chronic diseases associated with aging. Currently, he and his collaborators at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania are studying the impact of lung transplantation on skeletal muscle quantity, quality, and function. This project is funded by the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Section and the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research and the Acute Care Research Grant from the Foundation for Physical Therapy.
