Research Associate Professor
Dr. Kallen is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. His doctorate is in Educational Psychology; he is a fully trained psychometric scientist with expertise in classical and modern test theory and their health measurement applications. Dr. Kallen has a strong research track focused on the psychometric development, adaptation, evaluation, and interpretation of health-related measures, including instruments measuring attitudes, beliefs, and disease-specific quality of life among identified patient populations. He also has expertise in the behavioral modeling of health and quality of life-related outcomes. Beyond his doctorate, Dr. Kallen has a Master in Public Health degree in Epidemiology, with an emphasis in Biostatistics.
