Sarah Tlustos-Carter, Ph.D. is a pediatric neuropsychologist at Children’s Hospital Colorado and Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation through the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Currently, she conducts neuropsychological monitoring, assessment, and intervention on the inpatient rehabilitation unit as well as in the rehabilitation outpatient clinics. Her primary interests and passions include supporting children through both the acute and chronic phases of recovery from an acquired brain injury or illness by understanding how their medical and neurocognitive status impacts their behavior and the ability to participate in typical daily activities. Her research interests include social-emotional and cognitive outcomes after moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other acquired brain injuries and she has published and presented nationally on issues related to acute neurocognitive recovery and long-term outcomes after TBI.
