Barbara Singer is an APA Titled Neurological Physiotherapist and Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists. She has worked in neurological rehabilitation for more than 30 years. For the last two decades she has worked largely in academia, running post graduate programs in neurological rehabilitation at the University of Western Australia (2004-2016) and Edith Cowan University (2018-present, 0.2FTE).
Prior to completing her doctoral studies in 2003 she worked in a range of clinical settings in acute neurology and neurosurgery, and case management and rehabilitation of people with acquired brain injury. She has extensive experience as a clinical teacher, including in entry to practice physiotherapy programs at Curtin University and the University of Notre Dame Australia. She is currently working 0.8FTE as Unit Coordinator for the Training Centre in Subacute Care, a statewide education unit within the WA Department of Health. She is. Co-Vice President of the Australian College of Physiotherapists. She collaborates with a number of research groups internationally.
