Dr. Keysor’s area of scholarship examines the intersection for movement science with behavioral and social sciences to minimize and prevent disability and promote health, wellness, and full participation in daily life activities. She is a behavioral scientist and physical therapist with a strong background in epidemiology and health service research. She was the principal investigator of the National Institute of Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, Arthritis Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Enhancing Active Living with Arthritis (ENACT). She was the founder of the Home and Community Assessment (HACE) that has been widely transcribed in different languages and has received funding from the National Institute of Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research, the National Institutes of Disability, the Arthritis Foundation, and the MGH Institute of Health Professions.
