Motion Analysis Center Engineer
Shriners Hospitals for Children - Chicago
I am a biomedical engineer in the motion analysis center at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Chicago. My work with Shriners – Chicago has focused on analysis of foot and ankle biomechanics using the Milwaukee Foot Model (MFM) and biplane fluoroscopy as well as using advanced statistical methods to consolidate large amounts of gait data. I currently serve as an Investigator on two funded Shrine grants (“Development of a Kinetic and Musculoskeletal Foot Model” and “Calcaneal Osteotomies for Pes Planovalgus in Cerebral Palsy – A Long-term Comparison“). I believe my strong background in statistical modeling and experience with the foot and ankle biomechanics will allow me to make impactful contributions to this project. My work with Shriners Hospitals for Children – Chicago has also allowed me to lead a project with mobility limitations in the osteogenesis perfecta (OI) population with the Linked Clinical Research Centers (LCRC), a network of five clinical centers in North America with significant experience in treating patients with OI to analyze a database of over 500 individuals with OI.
