University of Maryland School of Medicine
I am a licensed physical therapist and full-time faculty member, currently appointed as an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. My primary role in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science is dedicated to teaching students. I am the course director for Basic Sciences I (Human Anatomy) and assist in the delivery of a variety of content areas that include but are not limited to the following: Biomechanics, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Physical Test and Measures, Therapeutic Technologies, Movement Analysis, Research Seminar, Gait and Functional Mobility Assessment and Interventional Training, Physical Test and Measures. This varied concentration of content delivery requires constant review of the literature to remain current with clinical trends and to pass along the most updated information to students who matriculate in the Department’s professional programs. My experience as a practicing physical therapy clinician, in combination with my basic science background/knowledge, provides me with opportunities to assist with a variety of projects that are ongoing at the University of Maryland.
