Dr. Thida Thant is an assistant professor and consultation-liaison psychiatrist at the University of Colorado Department of Psychiatry. She holds a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Plan II Honors from the University of Texas in Austin. She completed her general adult psychiatry residency and psychosomatic medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado and is the Director of the University of Colorado Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service and the Psychiatric Consultation for the Medically Complex clinic. Her academic interests and publications include marijuana and its impact on psychiatric practice, the creation and implementation of marijuana curricula in medical education, psychiatric care for medically and neurologically complex patients and multi-modal approaches for patients with chronic medical illness. Over the past year she has begun to focus on the neuropsychiatric and psychological impact of COVID-19 infection through her role in the University of Colorado multi-disciplinary COVID clinic and the Department of Psychiatry Post-COVID Mental Health program.
