Taavy Miller, PhD, CPO, is a research scientist with Hanger’s Department of Clinical and Scientific Affairs. Dr. Miller has broad experience working with individuals with disabilities and as a certified orthotist/prosthetist at large hospital-based systems and in private practice as well as teaching P&O. Dr. Miller holds a doctoral degree in Health Services Research with a focus in health economics and epidemiology. She has skills and experience analyzing large data including administrative claims data, clinical outcomes data, and large national survey data (e.g. NHANES, NHIS). Dr. Miller has published several studies in peer-reviewed journals and presented abstracts at national and international conferences. She is currently a member of AOPA’s research committee and active with the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, she was selected to be a presenter for the 2021 Thranhardt Lecture Series.
