Bryn Kennedy is a 1996 Distinguished Honors graduate from Penn State University with a degree in Sports and Exercise Science. She went on to get her Masters in Physical Therapy and Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Emory University School of Medicine in 2000 and 2004. Bryn has been working in the field of physical therapy for the past 20 years and specializes in the treatment of patients with neurologic impairments. She has a special interest in working with patients who have suffered from spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and stroke. Her passion in working with these populations is to educate, empower and assist individuals achieve their maximum level of function and reintegration into community life. In addition to these clinical roles she provides care within UNC Muscular Dystrophy Clinic and UNC Wheelchair Seating Clinic. Over the past year since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic she has worked with patients who have suffered from Covid –Related neurologic deficits in the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at UNC Hospital, Outpatient Physical Therapy at UNC Center for Rehabilitation Care and within the UNC Covid Recovery Clinic. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her children, exercising, cooking and hiking.
