Co-Investigator – Carol Gibson-Gill, MD. Dr. Gill is Department Chair of Spinal Cord Injury & Disorders (SCI/D) Department at the Veterans Administration New Jersey Healthcare System (VANJHCS). She is the Director of the NJ Region of the VA Multiple Sclerosis Center of Excellence and VANJ’s Director of the ALS Program. Her 24 years working in this field have allowed her to identify ways to enhance the delivery of care to the population of Veterans she and her team serve. Dr. Gill and her team are leaders in the successful implementation of virtual care technologies in the service they provide to Veterans and their Caregivers. Dr. Gill has been participating or running the caregiver program for the past – using CVT since she started this process in 1999 launching it in 2000 when their department was the first in their facility and the other VAs in their region to implement the use of virtual technologies in their daily delivery of health care to Veterans and Caregivers. Their Caregivers’ program received an award from the National Planetree Organization and NJ Caregivers’ Organization.
