Dr. Isabelle Buard is a Research Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Colorado Denver - Anschutz Medical Campus and the Research Director of the MEG/TMS Program. With the MEG team, she is investigating cortical networks associated with movement and cognition impairments in movement disorders and in people with traumatic brain injury. She is currently conducting an NIH funded RCT to study the underlying mechanisms of fine motor rehabilitation in Parkinson's disease via Neurologic Music Therapy vs Occupational Therapy. Her work in the TMS field relates to the modulation of cortical networks via magnetic pulses in diverse psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders in order to investigate changes in neuroplasticity and behavior.
