I am an Associate professor for the Public Health Foundation of India with qualifications and academic research expertise in the areas of Occupational therapy, Public Health disability - (Health systems and Policy), and Epidemiology. Besides, I am an active author of the Cochrane Collaboration, an International practitioner member of the Faculty of Public Health UK. I provide support to the national program for disabled children (RBSK) in India as a technical resource group member and I am part of the advisory for the government disability department of Telangana State and the editorial board of All India OT Association in India. I am a member of the International Networking Group task force for refugee empowerment at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine. I am an Early Career Fellow in clinical and public health for the Wellcome Trust (India Alliance) evaluating the effectiveness of a Technology-enabled educational intervention for stroke survivors in India through a clinical trial. I am also a visiting fellow for the International Centre for Evidence in Disability at LSHTM. I currently co-investigate a project funded by MRC-UK to develop a stroke caregiver intervention for strengthening the health system in Malaysia and also NIHR Funded research related to promoting Universal Health Coverage for stroke survivors in South Africa. I have an undergraduate degree from the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University in Occupational therapy, a post-graduate degree from SRM University in Public health, specializing in Health program management, and a Ph.D. from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). My main research interest is mainstreaming disability in health and development with a particular focus on low and middle-income countries and neuropsychiatric conditions. I am committed to achieving this by developing and strengthening rehabilitation systems and policies for people with disabilities, particularly in low and middle-income countries.
