Dr. Palmer, DPT, PhD, is an NIH NRSA postdoctoral research fellow at Emory University and research associate at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her current research involves the use of EEG recordings during standing balance perturbations to understand cortical activity and neural interactions between cortical brain regions linked to reactive balance control on behaviorally-relevant timescales. Dr. Palmer's primary research interests involve the neuromechanical control of human balance and ambulation, and factors that influence balance and walking disability common in older adults and age-related neuropathology.
