Chief and Senior Consultant

Prof Tay is the chief and senior consultant of a rehabilitation department sited in an acute general hospital. This is a 60 bedded rehabilitation unit.
She graduated in NUS( National University of Singapore) and underwent Internal Medicine residency and Rehabilitation Medicine Senior residency program under the Singhealth training program. She completed a fellowship in Neurorehabilitation and Cancer Rehabilitation in Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. Her interests include Neurorehabilitation, Spasticity Management and Cancer Rehabilitation.
She has overseen the development of seamless care of stroke rehabilitation patients, from the Acute Stroke Unit to early rehabilitation in the Rehabilitation unit to rehabilitation in the community hospital. She implemented 6 days a week physiotherapy and 7 days a week therapy leveraging on robotics.
She has also overseen cancer prehabilitation as a new service in the acute hospital and the development of a framework to include a wide range of cancer diagnotic groups.
